Work has begun on our £845k retrofit scheme for Delph and Dobcross homes

Work has begun on our major £835,000 retrofit programme at some of our properties in Saddleworth.

The 26 older homes in the villages of Delph and Dobcross will benefit from triple glazed windows, and loft and cavity wall insulation upgrades. Other improvements include ventilation upgrades, new roofs, insulated doors and solar panels.

The work is part of our programme to upgrade all our homes by 2030 to ensure they have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of at least C.

“Over the coming months, our contractor Connolly will undertake both internal and external work to these homes as we make sure they are fit for the future” said FCHO's Project Manager for Investment Delivery Chris Goode.

“It is also the first time all FCHO homes on any estate have received retrofitted solar panels as we continue to offer more and more ways to make our homes greener, more energy efficient and cheaper to run. The programme is scheduled to be completed by December this year."
