We're backing national effort to tackle antisocial behaviour during ASB Awareness Week 2026
25/06/2026
We are proudly supporting ASB Awareness Week 2026, led by Resolve, joining organisations across the UK in a national effort to tackle antisocial behaviour and promote safer, stronger communities.
Running from 29 June to 5 July 2026, the campaign shines a spotlight on the impact of antisocial behaviour (ASB) and encourages customers to report concerns, access support and feel more confident in their neighbourhoods.
To mark the week, we are delivering a range of activities for customers. Sessions have been designed to engage customers of all ages.
Our colleagues will be carrying out their usual duties across communities while also attending events throughout the week alongside partners such as Oldham Council and Greater Manchester Police.
These activities will focus on providing reassurance, raising awareness, and helping residents better understand how to report anti-social behaviour (ASB) and access support.
During the week, we will work closely with key partners including the GMP Neighbourhood Policing Team, Oldham Council’s Community Safety Team, local councillors, schools and youth services, and community and neighbourhood teams.
Together, this partnership approach will deliver a visible, coordinated response to ASB and help build trust within local communities.
Key events throughout the week
- Monday 29 June (Bardsley, 10.00am–12.00pm): Community coffee morning with customers and community partners to discuss ways we can improve partnership working in the area.
- Monday 29 June (Egerton Street, 10.00am–12.00pm): Joint walkabout with GMP, ASB officers and neighbourhood coordinators.

Supporting safer communities
These events are a positive step in the right direction and show how we are listening to customers. In last year’s Customer and Communities Strategy Consultation, customers and colleagues told us tackling ASB should be a priority.
Louise Dean, Community Safety Manager, said:
“ASB Awareness Week is an important opportunity to highlight the impact antisocial behaviour has on our communities and the difference partnership working can make. Customers have been clear - ASB should be a priority and we’re listening.
“We’ve seen an increase in reporting ASB this year and we’re acting. We’ve introduced the ASB Respect Line – allowing customers to report ASB 247. We’ve increased the size of the team and customers will also have a dedicated ASB officer in their area.
“ASB Awareness Week is an opportunity to showcase our commitment as an organisation to listen to customers, act and work alongside partners to deliver change.”
By supporting ASB Awareness Week 2026, we are reaffirming our commitment to tackling antisocial behaviour, supporting customers and working collaboratively to make our communities safer places to live.
