Stock condition surveys being undertaken at 3,000 of our homes

28/06/2020

Between June-September 2020, Michael Dyson Associates will be be visiting over 3,000 properties to carry out a stock condition survey on our behalf.

Why are we doing this?

We’re collecting information on our homes which will from part of our long term investment programme.

Please note, stock condition surveys are not what you would consider a ‘regular inspections’. The surveys are not about immediate improvements to your home, unless of course there is an immediate risk to you or your family. The information collected will be used for long term planning and improvement works.

This year we are spending £15.9m on home improvements. You can find out more about this on the investment page of our website.

If you have an issue in your home and would like to report any repairs, please do so in the usual way. Our FAQ page has more information on this.

How will I know if my home is selected?

All customers whose homes we need to access will receive a letter via post from Michael Dyson Associates who is carrying out the survey on our behalf.

If your property is selected, this means that a surveyor will need to visit your home during this time. They will need access to all areas of your home, including your garden if you have one.

What we need from you

To allow us to continue making our customers’ homes the best they can be, it’s really important that surveyors are able to complete the stock condition surveys in a timely and efficient manner, with minimal disruption.

That’s why we’re asking you to make every effort to accommodate them on the day.

What about coronavirus?

If you or a member of your household has coronavirus symptoms, is self-isolating or shielding and Michael Dyson Associates has written to you to inform you they may need to visit your home, you must let them know immediately by using the following details:

The contractor will ensure every effort is made to eliminate the spread of coronavirus by maintaining 2m distance and washing their hands or using sanitiser.
