Profit share deal with Wolseley Managed Services

A profit share deal with Wolseley Managed Services has led to more than £200,000 being invested back into homes and educational initiatives.

The builders merchant has a branch inside our Primrose Place Property Care centre off Ashton Road - a deal agreed three years ago.

Since then, we have received back £192,000, with the cash ring fenced for use on improving existing properties.

In addition, Wolseley has committed to donating 1% of our total spend with them each year to support social value projects.

Last year we spent £2 million, so a further £20,000 was recently given by the company to fund two digital literacy and inclusion programmes with charities in Chadderton and Werneth later this year.

“FCHO spends a great deal on repairs and this profit share deal with Wolseley means we are receiving more money back each year to further improve our homes and customers’ lives,” said Chief Executive Mark Gifford.

“Working in the same building is a big positive for both FCHO and Wolseley. We have all the materials we need on site so we can be more efficient and the company has a big dependable customer.

Mark added: "In challenging times FCHO needs to be innovative if we are to increase our spending power. Wolseley is a great partner for us in this respect and I'm sure this strong relationship will continue."

Wolseley Managed Services’ Business Development and Operational Director Andrew Harnick said: “Our partnership with First Choice Homes Oldham demonstrates how a strong, collaborative supply chain relationship can deliver benefits far beyond the supply of materials.

“By working alongside FCHO from our branch at Primrose Place, we have been able to support greater operational efficiency while creating a sustainable model that returns value directly back into local homes and communities.

“FCHO’s innovative approach and commitment to delivering excellent services for its customers make them a valued partner, and we look forward to continuing to work together to support residents and drive positive outcomes across Oldham.”
