Get involved in our West Vale community engagement event on 3 August

21/07/2022

Inputting into local regeneration plans, sharing your views on the West St neighbourhood and learning about the West St Neighbourhood Panel. These are among the things on offer at our West Vale community engagement event on Wednesday 3 August. Come down and get involved!

We are holding the event near the site of the former tower blocks, Crossbank House and Summervale House. Demolition and clearance of the buildings took place during the winter and spring. On the vacated site we are now bringing forward 88 new, sustainable homes – a mix of family homes and apartments – and delivering upgrades to existing homes and the wider neighbourhood, so that everyone benefits.

We want local people to get involved in the project’s next steps and give feedback on what they think the priorities for the area are.

Daniel Isherwood, our Project and Partnerships Officer said: “Throughout our work on the West Vale scheme and local regeneration projects so far, community has been at the heart. Your invaluable feedback has shaped our work and we want to build on this and hear what you have to say about the neighbourhood and plans for local improvements.

“You can also learn more about our West Street Neighbourhood Panel which meets regularly to discuss priorities for the area and help influence our improvement programme.

“If you have any questions about the scheme, our team will be on hand at the session to answer them, too. If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to see you there.”

Our West Vale community engagement session will be held 1-3.30pm, Wednesday 3 August at Bankside Close, OL9 6TQ.

No booking is required, just turn up.
