Demolition of tower blocks complete and making a difference through our work

13/06/2022

The towering Oldham landmarks, Crossbank House and Summervale House have disappeared from the skyline, now demolition and clearance of the site is complete.

Work by Oldham-based contractor, D Hughes Demolition and Excavation Ltd took place in spectacular scenes in February, followed by clearance of the site, which was completed in April.

Making a difference

Through our work we want to support the local economy, create opportunities for people and businesses in the borough and minimise our environmental impact. We have worked closely with the D. Hughes team throughout the demolition and clearance process to achieve this.

Joel Owen says: “We are delighted to have partnered with a contractor that shares our vision for creating meaningful social value. The Hughes team has delivered multiple benefits to the local area and wider Oldham borough, which will leave a lasting and positive legacy.”
