Development team shortlisted for leading national housing award

Fantastic news! Our Development team has been shortlisted for a leading national housing award.

They have been named a finalist in the ‘Best Development Team - Urban’ category at the 2023 Inside Housing Development Awards (IHDA).

The awards celebrate the very best in residential development and recognise the teams, schemes and solutions that have made a positive impact in these unprecedented times - showcasing quality homes, sustainable places, and sharing learning more widely.

Commenting on the news, our Director of Development, Joel Owen said: “Being shortlisted for this award is terrific recognition for the team, which has gone from strength to strength in the past 12 months.

“Strong collaboration with our partners and continued work to find new ways to deliver our Development Strategy has paid off.

“We trebled performance against the previous year’s starts on site outputs, achieved 50% more completions, and also laid the foundations for a solid 2023/24.

“It means we are in a strong position to achieve the ambitious targets in our Development Strategy 2020-2026 and deliver 1,100 much-needed, high quality, sustainable homes in Oldham and surrounding local authority areas and improve the lives of local people.

Winners of this year’s IHDAs will be announced at the end of September.
