Building safer communities during ASB Awareness Week 2026

07/07/2026

Last week, we proudly supported ASB Awareness Week 2026, joining organisations across the UK in a national campaign to tackle antisocial behaviour (ASB) and help create safer, stronger communities.

The week, which ran from 29 June to 5 July 2026, shone a spotlight on the impact antisocial behaviour can have on people’s lives and encouraged customers to report concerns, access support and feel more confident in their neighbourhoods.

Led nationally by Resolve, ASB Awareness Week brings together organisations from housing, policing, local government, charities and community groups to raise awareness, strengthen local responses and support those affected by antisocial behaviour.

Working together locally

Throughout the week, our colleagues continued their everyday work in neighbourhoods while also taking part in a series of local activities with partners including Oldham Council and Greater Manchester Police.

Activities included community conversations, partnership walkabouts, resident engagement sessions and school visits, all designed to provide reassurance, raise awareness and help people understand how to report antisocial behaviour and access the right support.

Highlights from the week

Events took place in Bardsley, Egerton Street, Shaw and Stoneleigh Park, giving residents the opportunity to speak directly with colleagues and partners about local concerns and the action being taken to address ASB.

At St Hugh’s Primary School, interactive sessions for Year 5 and 6 pupils focused on positive behaviour and community responsibility.

Reporting antisocial behaviour

Antisocial behaviour can affect how safe people feel in their homes and neighbourhoods. Reporting concerns helps build a clearer picture of what is happening locally and supports partners to take action where it is needed.

If you are experiencing or witnessing antisocial behaviour, please report it so support can be provided and the right action can be taken. Every report can help make communities safer.

We will continue working with customers, communities and partners to listen to concerns, provide reassurance and help people feel safe and confident in their communities.
