Our Community Services Teams

How our Community Services Teams can help you

We recognise that our residents can sometimes need assistance, advice or support to manage their tenancies successfully and to better their own personal or family circumstances. We can help with a wide range of financial problems, benefit support, employment and training opportunities plus reassurance and peace of mind.

Under the banner of Community Services, we have set up three teams to help you with whatever difficulties you are facing. If we can’t directly help, we’ll know who else to involve who can.

We can provide you with various solutions to help improve your personal circumstances. Issues we may be able to help with include:

  • Welfare advice including help with additional entitlement
  • Maximising household income
  • Getting new or better paid employment
  • Affordable food
  • Furniture/white goods options
  • Energy switching
  • Support accessing other services

If you have a problem that we can help with, or if you would just like to explore how we can help improve your finances, reduce debts or increase your disposable income, you can make a self-referral by calling us on 0161 393 5488.

Community Impact Team

Our skilled Community Impact Advisors have a wealth of knowledge and experience supporting individuals with a variety of issues, both financial and personal.

Directions

Our experienced employment and volunteering team is driven to support our customers into new or better employment. They also provide volunteering opportunities and delivering a variety of training sessions.

The Live Well Service

The Live Well Service is designed to help you get the most out of life. From just £10.87 per week, you will be allocated a dedicated advisor who will make regular contact with you to provide support, and you will be able to contact them directly with any enquiries.

How to access help

Our advisors are happy to make an appointment to visit you at your home to assess how we may be able to help you. We are also available for appointments at our town centre office or at a number of community centres. We have various drop-in sessions including evening and weekend drop-ins. You don’t need an appointment to attend one of these drop-ins, just come along and see how we can help.
