Join our energy efficiency events

We’re hosting two energy efficiency events this month, giving our customers and local residents the chance to get practical advice on keeping their homes warmer, cutting energy their bills, and finding out more about the improvements we’re making to their homes.

The first event kicks off next week in Chadderton on 16 September at the corner of Laburnum Avenue and Eustace Street. The second will be in Shaw on 25 September at Crompton Cricket Club.

Both events run from 2.30pm to 6pm, and everyone’s welcome to come along for free advice and support on cutting energy costs.

Visitors can look forward to practical energy-saving tips, free low-energy lightbulbs, Radiator reflectors, and hygrometers that measure humidity as well as expert advice from our refit contractors, Connolly.

Our sustainability team will be on hand to explain the benefits of insulation, smart heating, triple-glazing, and answer your questions about the improvements.

“These events are a great opportunity for our neighbourhoods and customers to learn more about the benefits of energy-saving measures and the work we are undertaking in hundreds of homes across Shaw and Chadderton,” said FCHO sustainability manager, Olivia Greenhalgh.

“Our goal is to ensure that all our customers live in warm, safe, and healthy homes and we hope they and other local residents will pop along for a chat while learning some useful tips.”
