We’re proud to share that Olivia Greenhalgh, our Sustainability Manager, has been admitted to the prestigious Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP), earning Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) status in recognition of her outstanding work in making our communities greener and more sustainable.

Olivia’s journey to membership was rigorous. She submitted a detailed personal statement, gathered supporting evidence from colleagues and professionals, and completed a two-hour interview. Her application was assessed against criteria including sustainability leadership, innovation, and her understanding of environmental policy and legislation.

This achievement not only recognises Olivia’s expertise and dedication but also opens up new opportunities for us as an organisation. Through Olivia’s membership, we now have access to ISEP’s global network of sustainability leaders, resources, and best practices, strengthening our ability to meet our environmental goals and support our customers in living more sustainably.

Olivia, who joined FCHO 18 months ago and previously worked as a teacher, said:

“One of my passions is to leave the world in a better place than we found it and to apply my skills to help the pressures we face on our planet, in our communities here in Oldham and to allow our customers to live and prosper within a sustainable future,” said Mrs Greenhalgh, who has been working at FCHO for 18 months.

“Having access to ISEP will allow FCHO to make further progress in achieving its sustainability targets. It will also allow me to professionally develop further leadership on sustainability and, most importantly, it will allow me to do my job of helping people and supporting colleagues.”

Chief Executive, Mark Gifford, added:

"We are very proud of Olivia’s membership of ISEP. Developing staff skills is vitally important because it helps us grow as an organisation and meet our customers’ needs in important areas like how we protect our environment.”
