FCHO celebrated for excellence in development and energy efficiency at Housing Executive Awards

We’re proud to share that First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) has been recognised at this year’s prestigious Housing Executive Awards for our outstanding work in housing development and energy efficiency. 

Our flagship £20 million West Vale development in Coldhurst was named Best Affordable Housing Development, a remarkable achievement that highlights the vision, commitment and collaboration behind our largest regeneration project to date. West Vale is transforming the heart of Oldham, delivering high-quality, affordable homes that meet the needs of our community today and into the future. 

In addition to this win, our ambitious retrofit programme, one of the most extensive in the region was highly commended in the Best Retrofit Initiative category. This initiative has seen energy efficiency upgrades delivered to 350 homes across Oldham, helping to reduce carbon emissions, lower energy bills and improve living standards for our customers. 

Reflecting on the achievement, our CEO Mark Gifford said:
