Celebrating Volunteers Week

04/06/2025

It’s Volunteers Week and we’re putting the spotlight on our brilliant volunteers to celebrate their work and thank them for making a difference in our communities. We’re also spreading the word about how customers can get involved and volunteer if they want to!

Dale Taylor learning and development co-ordinator said: “We are incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated network of volunteers who support so many important services in our community. Thanks to their commitment, we’re able to deliver initiatives like The Bread and Butter Thing, which provides access to affordable food for those in need, as well as a range of activities in local community centres to support families, working parents, elderly, and vulnerable residents. Our volunteers are truly remarkable, and we want to celebrate their invaluable contributions and dedication.”

Volunteering is an important part of our work to support our communities. Not only is it a good way to give back to those in need and meet new people, it is also an excellent personal development opportunity that can help customers into training and work, or support them to move their career forward if they’re already employed.

If you know a customer who would like to get involved in volunteering, please pass their details on to Dale Taylor our learning and development manager, visit our volunteering page for more details on how you can get involved.
