Boiler replacement programme



This year, we’re investing £1.4 million to replace boilers in 600 homes across Oldham, helping our customers enjoy warmer, more energy-efficient homes.

What’s happening?

We’re upgrading old boilers with new, energy-efficient models that meet current regulations. These improvements could help you save energy, cut your bills, and enjoy a more comfortable home.

When will work happen at your home?

We’ll be in touch to arrange a convenient time for the installation. A Resident Liaison Officer from Sureserve Group Limited will visit you beforehand to introduce themselves and explain everything you need to know.

If you haven’t heard from us yet, don’t worry, we’re working through the list of homes and will contact you when it’s your turn.

What do you need to do?

Please make sure you allow access to your home when the time comes. Your cooperation is really appreciated and helps us complete the work smoothly.

All FCHO staff and contractors carry official photo ID. If someone visits your home claiming to be from FCHO or one of our partners, always ask to see their ID. If you’re unsure, call our Contact Centre on 0161 393 7117.

During their first visit, the Resident Liaison Officer will let you know how to prepare for the work.

How much notice will you get?

You’ll receive final confirmation of your appointment well in advance. Sureserve will work around your schedule, including holidays and working hours, to find a time that suits you. If the appointment offered doesn’t work for you, just let them know and they’ll rearrange it.

How long will the work take?

Boiler replacements usually take 1–2 days to complete. If any additional work is needed, the Resident Liaison Officer will keep you informed.

Programme timeline:

  • Start on site: April 2025
  • Completion: March 2026
