    Key Priorities

    Welfare Reform:

To continue to raise awareness of the Welfare Reform Act with FCHO customers. Areas have different issues - including under occupancy and higher numbers of working age residents in receipt of Housing Benefit. We will work to support customers with this by measures such as promoting Direct Debit, referring for bank accounts and increasing digital inclusion (computer access and skills).

    Allocations:

Improve current re-let times and provide accommodation for those wishing to down-size due to Welfare Reform.

    Feeling Safe:

FCHO will work closely with local Policing team and the Community Safety Unit to build confidence with tenants and residents to report crime e.g. questionnaire and joint surgeries.

    Health and Wellbeing:

To establish and develop more effective structures for engaging with other health and social service providers.

    Clean and Green:

FCHO will work with the community to identify environmental improvements and improve the overall appearance of the area.

    Community Involvement:

To identify key active individuals within the local Central Chadderton community to assist with the action planning, monitoring and evaluation of the Central Chadderton Neighbourhood Plan; this may be meeting in person, by feedback forms, or any other way customers identify.
