Welcome to our two new apprentices, Billie-Jo and Peter!

24/09/2020

On Monday 21 September we were delighted to welcome Billie-Jo and Peter to the wonderful world of FCHO.

Billie-Jo (known as Billie) and Peter are our customers and joined us in the roles of Apprentice – Contact Centre and Apprentice – Environmental Services Operative.

31-year-old Billie said: “I’ve always worked in customer service from bars to cinemas, but I really like helping people so I figured I’d be able to do that by working for FCHO.”

19-year-old Peter said: “I approached FCHO’s Directions team as I really needed a job, and I was offered this role. I like gardening so it’s perfect for me. I suffer with a bit of anxiety but once I arrived and put my new uniform on, I wondered what I was even nervous about as everyone has been really nice.”

Billie is an active member of our community and has worked closely with our Stronger Communities team, acting as a member of our Customer Voice Panel and volunteering with our Contact Centre in the past.

Peter has recently moved into one of our homes and is excited about his future with us. His new role will give him the stability to create a promising future for him and his son, and he’s even hoping to get a little cat in the near future.

Both apprentices will gain qualifications through Oldham College during their time with us, with Billie working towards a Level 2 qualification in Customer Service, and Peter towards a Level 2 Horticultural and Landscaping qualification.

It’s a lot to take in for our two new apprentices, especially during these strange times, so we'd like to wish them a warm welcome and good luck on their employment journey with us.
