If you are Finding it Difficult to Pay

Available Help

Rent First

Paying your rent is your legal responsibility which you accepted when you signed your tenancy agreement. If you do not pay your rent you could end up losing your home.

If you find yourself in financial difficulty you must contact the Income Collection Team on 0161 393 5353 immediately as falling into rent arrears could result in you being evicted from your home. As well as the rent arrears you will also be charged court costs (currently £325) and a Warrant fee (currently £325).

We can come to an affordable agreement, based on your financial situation, ensuring that any arrears you have are cleared within an acceptable timeframe.

If you are struggling to pay your rent as you are on a low income then you may be entitled to some extra money towards the cost of your rent.
